Miami Christian School’s high school program provides a challenging and supportive learning environment for students in grades 9-12. Our academic curriculum is designed to prepare students for college and beyond. The high school has an Honors track for those with a higher GPA and Scholars offerings for those with higher standardized test scores. Advanced Placement (AP) courses and Dual Enrollment programs are also available for students who meet the entry requirements. The faculty work closely with students to develop critical thinking skills, promote intellectual curiosity, and encourage creativity.
Elective offerings are often CORE electives and/or NCAA approved courses (such as Shakespeare, Great Books, Classical Literature, Physics, Comparative Political Systems, Psychology, Political Science, Western Civilization, Criminal Law, Constitutional Law, Legal Issues, Military Strategies, Botany, Human Anatomy, Forensic Biology, Marine Biology, Zoology, Statistics and Advanced Math Topics) as well as Engineering, Art, Band/Music, PE, Yearbook, Photography, etc. Free “Help Class” is offered after school each day Monday – Thursday.
Miami Christian School’s high school program emphasizes academic excellence, preparing students for success in college and beyond. In High School, Miami Christian School provides students with ample opportunities to try new things, develop passions, and dive into areas of interest, fostering a sense of exploration and discovery that is vital for personal growth and self-discovery. They can do it all, from elective courses and clubs to athletic teams and performances, allowing our High School students to mix and match their interests, carving out unique identities and charting their own courses towards academic excellence, personal fulfillment, and service to others. These are the years that lifelong friendships are formed, academic interests are sharpened and deepened, talents are discovered and further developed, and students learn to live out their Christ-like values in their daily lives.
ADVANCED PLACEMENT (AP)
At Miami Christian School, we are proud of our championship athletics program. Our student-athletes have the opportunity to participate in a variety of sports teams, including basketball, soccer, volleyball, cheer and baseball. Through our athletics program, students learn the importance of teamwork, dedication, and sportsmanship, while also developing their physical abilities and achieving their athletic goals.
We believe that serving the community is an important part of developing Christ-like values in our students. At Miami Christian School, we offer a variety of service opportunities that allow our students to give back to their community and make a positive impact on those around them. From volunteering at local charities to participating in food drives and other community events, our students learn the importance of compassion and selflessness.
